Last night the RIBA bookshop had the pleasure of architectural writer and Iraq war correspondent Hadani Ditmars giving a talk about the architecture and changing urban landscape of Vancouver. Hadani came all the way from Canada for the London Festival of Architecture to present her latest book, the Wallpaper guide to Vancouver. We also had an unexpected visit from actor Steven Berkoff, who is a friend of Hadani and came to hear the lecture. The finishing touch of another fantastic night at the bookshop was hearing our guest sing a beautiful rendition of “Besame mucho” to RIBA’s president Stephen Hodder. I’d like to thank Hadani and everyone that came to the talk and helped make this another inspiring event promoting architectural discussions and ideas to the professionals and members of the public alike.
